NOC Engineer (Network Operations Center)
As a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer at RFi Network, you will be the backbone of our 24/7 network reliability. You will monitor core OLT/ODN systems, manage traffic rerouting, troubleshoot BGP/OSPF and VLAN configurations, and direct field teams during unexpected fiber cutoffs or power interruptions.
- Perform 24/7 proactive monitoring of RFi’s fiber optic core, aggregation switches, and GPON OLT infrastructure.
- Diagnose and isolate layer 2 and layer 3 network bottlenecks, packet loss, and link flap issues.
- Log, prioritize, and escalate incidents in our ticketing system in adherence with strict SLA metrics.
- Collaborate closely with Field Operations and Splicing teams during emergency fiber breaks and restoration.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering (ECE), or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in NOC monitoring, ISP operations, or enterprise network administration.
- Strong foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN tagging, OSPF/BGP routing, GPON (EPON/GPON/XG-PON), and DHCP/PPPoE provisioning.
